The organizing authority and partners
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg, recognized by the Italian Ministry of International Trade and with the partnership of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Luxembourg, is active in Luxembourg since 1990. The main sponsors of the Chamber of Commerce are the major Italian and Luxemburgish banks and financial companies based in the Grand Duchy.
Beyond the development of promotional activities, with the aim of internationalization of Italian enterprises, and the improvement of bilateral relations between the two Countries, the Chamber of Commerce plays, in the education sector, a role of "trait d' union" between Italian universities and the business world by encouraging the inclusion of young graduates in companies and banks located in Luxembourg.
In this context it was felt the necessity of creating specific programmes aimed to match the particular necessities of the financial sector that increasingly requires specific competencies. After the good result obtained by the Master in International Finance, Audit & Control, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg, focusing on the specific nature of the financial centre of Luxembourg, has designed a new one: the Master in Private Equity and Investment Funds.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce has started a partnership with the Institute of Banking Training set in Luxembourg (IFBL) and PricewaterhouseCoopers since the launch of the Master in International Finance, and now those are involved in the teaching part of this new program as well.
This academic part will be followed by three months of internship in companies and banks joint in the programme: this is considered as an integral part of the training.
The Master in Private Equity and Investment Funds represents a unique opportunity for young Italian graduates to integrate academic studies, usually purely theoretical, with a professional experience in a specific area of finance.
